Huawei has rolled out a new feature for MatePad Edge tablet users, allowing them to transfer files directly to Windows computers via its latest software update.
With this new feature, MatePad Edge 2-in-1 users can send files, photos, and documents to a PC without needing any third-party apps or extra cables. Instead, it utilizes the system’s built-in clipboard application.
The feature comes with the HarmonyOS 6.1.0.125 update. Once updated, users can easily move files back and forth between the computer’s file manager and the tablet.
Boosting integration between Huawei devices and other operating systems is part of the company’s strategy to make file sharing and communication smoother across its ecosystem. In addition to file sharing, the update includes other improvements, such as enhanced universal search options in the settings, updated smart stylus settings to prevent accidental touches, improved system stability, and the June 2026 security patch.
With these updates, Huawei aims to increase cross-device productivity and improve the overall user experience while maintaining top-notch security standards.
